The meet attracts teams and schools from around Nevada to compete at Mira Loma Park in east Reno. This year, the meet will be held on August 30 starting with the eighth grade and under boys and girls at 5:40 p.m. , the college men’s race at 7:55 p.m., the college women’s race at 8:35 p.m. and ending with high school varsity races at 9:20 p.m.

Bonanza Casino is a large supporter of the Prostate Cancer Foundation and hopes to bring awareness to the cause by partnering with the Wolf Pack cross country team. “Supporting the University as well as helping fight Prostate Cancer is an absolute win/win for all involved”, said Bonanza Casino General Manager, Ryan Sheltra.

According to the Prostate Cancer foundation, it’s estimated that nearly 165,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year.
